SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (aka: Food Stamps) is a federal/state assistance program to help provide those with low income with assistance of feeding the household (1+ people). Because of my expenses, and my rent being higher than would be expected, I recieve a significant amount for SNAP. In my case, SNAP covers all of my non-restaurant food needs. The benefits comes around the 12th of the month. Since my SNAP is more than my food budget, I don’t count either my food expenses, nor SNAP benefits when I do my budget.
