I use Comcast Internet Essentials which is Comcast’s low income plan. I get a 50/10MBPS connection with a dynamic IP address. One disadvantage of this program is I must use their modem/router combination which I personally find it as inferior to what I could be using. The connection has been better than it was in the past, but I would still rather use my own modem and router. With that in mind, I work with what I have.
I also chosen to acquire a 1GB plan with Tello for my tablet. They sent me a SIM card, and activation was much easier than most providers. The only bad thing is that this is a hard limit. Once I hit my 1GB cap, I will not have any more cellular internet until my next billing month. I would have preferred a soft cap to where they will throttle to 2G or 3G speeds, but will settle for this hard cap since I don’t go out much.
